About the Role

We’re in search of an individual to join our team in a DevOps Engineer role. This role provides application leadership for the company’s internal and external IT infrastructure team including the ownership and management of complex projects which require specialized technical knowledge.

What You Will Be Doing

In this position, you will be a member of our Hosting Operations team.  You will:


  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, create, support, and maintain the tools and systems used to deploy, run, automate, and secure our broad ecosystem of custom code and infrastructure.
  • Assume a lead role in application monitoring to ensure maximum uptime and optimal performance. Conduct application and system audits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of both.  Automate installation and monitoring solutions to increase operational performance.
  • Diagnose infrastructure and application issues and recommend long-term corrective action. Provide technical expertise in application and system diagnostics and maintenance, and provide assistance to the internal staff on application deployment and infrastructure needs. Manage the timely resolution of the most critical and/or complex issues.
  • Lead cross-departmental process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of processes and documentation to advance security and workflow improvements.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts across the release lifecycle to obtain input and support for planned DevOps engineering activities.
  • Recommend opportunities to gain alignment between IT operations and the business.


About You

You have a strong technical skills/background with an advanced level of understanding of personal computers, software, hardware, peripherals, operating systems, MS applications, and networking environments. You can grasp complex problems, provide recommendations and deliver results. You are the type of person which every team wishes they had. You have:


  • Professional certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, A+, and Network+ are highly desired.
  • Degree, preferably BS, in Computer and/or Business related field and 3+ years of directly related experience.
  • Experience deploying applications in a Windows environment (IIS, Windows Services). Strong working knowledge of Server operating systems including Server 2012+ and Linux. System administration automation experience using scripting.
  • Above-average knowledge of experience working with Citrix, Active Directory, SQL database, TCP/IP, CSSCM, networking, and database connectivity.
  • Hands-on server-class hardware build experience. Working experience with network hardware including but not limited to Switches, Firewall, SAN, KVM, and Server class hardware.
  • Successful demonstrated knowledge and experience with infrastructure applications including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper V, and any Network Management System.
  • Experience with disaster recovery methodologies including hardware and software RAID, enterprise-level archive solutions, and AppAssure.
  • Excellent organizational skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and understand and be responsive to customer needs while working independently and under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.  Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people with varying degrees of technical experience.  Technical writing/documentation skills.
  • Excellent work history and attendance record required.
